Area Light FAQ

1

Dusk To Dawn Area Light

The light not able to work.

Question

Answer

Ensure that the surroundings are sufficiently dark to trigger the light. It's worth noting that the D2D functionality may not result in immediate illumination after installation, as it depends on the brightness level in the environment.
Check for Obstructions:
Ensure that there are no obstacles, such as branches or debris, blocking the light sensor. Clearing any obstructions may allow the sensor to better detect ambient light conditions.
Verify Installation:
Double-check the installation to make sure that the light is securely mounted and all connections are properly made. Any loose connections or misalignments could impact the functionality of the D2D feature.
Testing in Complete Darkness:
For a more accurate test, turn off any surrounding lights or using the tape to cover the sensor and wait for complete darkness to see if the D2D feature activates the light. This will help determine if the issue is related to the ambient brightness.

Question

Answer

Installation Location:
Reflective surfaces such as glass, painted roofs, or walls can interfere with the proper functioning of the barn light. By suggesting a check on the installation location, you're addressing potential sources of reflected light that might be causing the flickering.
Installation Height:
Setting a minimum installation height of lower than 6.5ft is a practical suggestion. Installing the light too low could lead to undesirable interactions with the surrounding environment, potentially causing flickering or other issues.
